New coding program for women with disabilities at the VDRC!
The VDRC is proud to be involved in the organization of this event.
Are you, or someone you know, a self-identifying woman with a disability? Aged 19 – 25? Interested in learning coding?
If so, the VDRC has a new program for you! CodeAbled is a fun and FREE 3-week course where we will explore the basics of coding in the popular Python programming language.
This is a great course for you if you’d like to learn the skills and mindset needed to write your own code, or prepare you for more programming courses. No previous coding experience required!
WHO: Self-identified women, ages 19 – 25, with self-declared disabilities. This is open to trans-feminine, non-binary, two-spirited, and genderqueer individuals who feel a women’s coding group is the best fit for them.
WHEN: Mondays – Thursdays, 9AM – 1PM
Session 1: July 16 – August 2
Session 2: August 7 – August 23
WHERE: The Victoria Disability Resource Centre – 817A Fort St.
