Art Group

Are you interested in exploring your artistic side and/or meeting new people? The VDRC offers a drop-in art group for anyone to come in and enjoy spending some time being creative alongside others in a sensory-friendly environment 😄

Join us on the third Friday of every month at 1:00pm to paint, draw, colour, bead, collage, and more!Poster for attention

All supplies will be provided.

Gaming Time (Nintendo Switch)

Do you enjoy casual gaming, playing alongside others? Have you ever been curious and wanted to try video games out? Join us on the 1st Tuesday 2:30pm-4:00pm to play games on our Nintendo Switch.

Games we have include:

  • Super Mario Kart 8 DeluxePoster for attention
  • Super Mario Party
  • The Vale: Shadow of the Crown
  • Nintendo Switch Sports

PEER (People Encouraging Each other Respectfully) Time drop-in

This group is a social support group for Persons with Disabilities to connect with each other, share thoughts, experiences, knowledge, and skills. This group meets online on the 2nd Tuesday  of each month from 2pm-4pm, and in person at the VDRC on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 2pm-4pm.  The goal of this group is to serve as a space to hold regular check-ins, build community, and to help reduce isolation. Guest speakers on various topics of interest around disability are very welcome!

Queerabilities (in partnership with AVI Victoria)

Every Monday from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm and every second Thursday from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm (both virtual)

This is open to anyone who is 18+, from the queer community and has a disability. Meeting content will vary each week. See the Facebook page for more information.
